Stormy Weather

Westron Wind

O Westron wind, when will thou blow
The small rain down can rain?
Christ if my love were in my arms,
And I in my bed again!

An anonymous, very old poem, written in Middle English.
There is a site that has more, but this has always been one of my favorites.
The reason I thought of it: we had snow, briefly, yesterday.

We had a dusting yesterday as a well.

Perhaps, you can post some summer poems and try to reverse the cold temperature trend before it is too late?

Dear Slamdunk,
I'm looking . . . so far all the poets write a line on summer and then go off into the gloom by saying it doesn't last. Remember winter! They say.

The next lines are either come-ons to ladies named Celestia or about seeing white hair when they look in the mirror.

But I haven't given up yet! Going to try Virgil.

Parts of the Kansas City metro are about to get several inches; other parts may just have an inch or two with some sleet and rain. The storm is huge on the radar and satallite!

Then our daytime high for Wednesday is forecast to be 20.

Slamdunk, it may be too late...
