Bright Foliage

In the 101-degree heat, but shining bravely on:
Four total shots of the same plant, because that's what I do. Three are after the jump.

Hostas, I believe. Wonderful ground cover. Well, maybe not hostas...

Beautiful anyway!

I hoist a cold drink in your honor!

So nice! One of the things I loved about living in Hawaii was all the plants. I, however, kill everything I try to grow.

Dear The Observer,
Oh, I was going to ask! I think yes, hostas. Enjoy that cold drink!

Dear The Bug,
Thank you! The glory is theirs, I was just passing by.

Dear Yellow Mice,
I feel the same way about Louisiana. And the same way about my thumb. Pictures are MUCH easier to take care of!

Thanks, dear ladies, for writing in!

Dear Meleah,
You and I have to get by with appreciating somebody else's talent on the plant care! I loved those posts you wrote!

Thanks for stopping by,
Ann T.

Lovely sight--something beating the heat.

A few years ago, the Mrs. planted some ground cover plants, but recently decided that they have become to aggressive and is digging them out. She has spent hours battling them by spraying and even with digging the roots up, they will likely find sprout again next year in small quantities.

Dear Slamdunk,
I remember fighting the battle of the banana trees and the battle of the four-o-clocks in Rivertown. The banana was taking over the neighbor's rose garden, and she was mad!!

The four-o-clocks were taking over everything else.

no heat stroke!
Have a great week.
