A Fourth of July Entertainment

You really need this for your barbecue. There is no substitute for the real thing--cooling, re-hydrating, healthy, and fun, sweet, colorful, and traditional.

Besides, spitting becomes downright necessary, which often provides comic relief for over-charged children. Especially when Mom isn't a good spitter. . . . Har Har Har, Mom!
There's an e-how on How to Spit Watermelon Seeds at this link.

Every One Have a Glorious Fourth of July!!!

Dear Bob,
We will! In fact I think we will go out now, before the stuff starts, and get a good ride in.

Thanks for dropping by the fence!

Do they still make those sparklers on a stick? I wish for your day to be as delightful as that sparkler, Ann T.! And I dare you to laugh out loud while riding Miss Ellen and scaring some ducks!
Happy 4th to you!

I had to read the spitting tips to see if I was missing anything. I do have a good approach with the seeds.

Happy Independence Day.

Happy 4th on the 5th! Catching up!

Dear Gia,
They do make those sparklers! I didn't take Ellen out, though. The places we like to ride were filled with crowds. Instead, I walked everywhere. It was a great day.

I hope yours was also good.
Thank you,

Ann T.

Dear Slamdunk,
Happy Independence Day!
As a son of Texas, I'm sure you have not only aim but distance with those seeds. We breathe ballistic nuance in the Lone Star State.

LOL, thanks for stopping in!

Dear Momma Fargo,
Happy 4th on the Fifth to you, too! I read some blogs yesterday but I also feel like I'm catching up.

Have a great day and thank you!

Catching up myself! Have you seen those new round watermelons? They're about the size of an NBA basketball. And scandal of scandals! There are watermelons with seeds so small you can just swallow them.

No, a watermelon won't grow in your stomach! Haha.

Hope your Independence Day was fine! We had some rain postpone some big displays, and if the weather permits, we might take some in later.
