Looking Up

Christmas decorations and a crane. The crane was sandwiched between two heritage buildings.

The quality of light in the winter time seems so different to me. Slightly yellow, and flattering to many things.
Both taken December 4.

Nothing like huge, honking Christmas decorations on rooftops, eh?

And I know what you mean about the "color" of winter...the SKY looks SO blue..a marvelous contrast to everything else.

Great pictures (as always)

Have a great day.

Dear Bob,
I am so glad you like the pictures! And I so agree, the sky is so blue and clear.

We finally had snow that stuck around. I am a piker compared to you, but I did try to get out and see what might be fun to take pictures of today.

Thanks as always, neighbor,
Ann

I have never thought about it, but I agree that winter light is different. We see it as yellow out our backyard--not sure why it looks that way.

Dear Slamdunk,
I think I have always been sort of interested in the effects of light, but only as a daydreamer.

It is yellow, kind of, isn't it?
or gold, maybe.

I don't know why either. I expect some physicist could tell us--but--it's okay!
