Reflecting on what I learn, including the stuff that's whack--
Dear CW,LOL! No, the last car I had was a battered pickup truck. Then I moved to the city and started taking the bus. Every once in awhile, some great car parks in my neighborhood, and I get a shot or two. Isn't it gorgeous??Thanks for writing in!Ann T.
Beautiful! Reminds me of Marc Cohn's song, "Silver Thunderbird":Don't gimme no Buick Son you must take my word If there's a God in heaven He's got a Silver Thunderbird You can keep your El Dorados And the foreign car's absurd Me I wanna go down In a Silver Thunderbird
Dear C.L.,Well, you got me to searching. And yes, it is such a great song I added it to the post! Thanks for sharing.Ann T.
Ann:Wow...a '57 T-Bird with a "continental" package on the rear bumper...whatta find! Those little "doors" on th front fenders are the "air-conditioning"...as in *260* air:(2 windows down, 60 MPH)Or in this case, two VENTS open...ROFL!And from the pictures, it DOES look pretty "cherry".Well done. Thanks for sharing.Stay safe out there.
Dear Bob,Thanks for the expert comments!Ann
Ann T:Very nice! One of the nicest parts of summer is that everyone's cool rides come out to play. Thanks for sharing! The Observer
Dear The Observer,You're right--these cars just started popping out of nowhere.I have some shots of a Cadillac Bonneville that looks to be 50's or early 60's that I will post later. It's not as pristine, but holy smoke!Ann T.
